Thank you for participating in the Retail Energy Efficiency Appliance Program (water heater portion). The program ran for three weeks and resulted in sales of more than 4,300 water heaters with Illinois' residents benefiting from a savings of about $600,000.00 in rebates.
The program has indeed been a success which has resulted in increased sales to retailers in a struggling economy, savings to customers, and an increase in the use of energy efficient water heaters.
On March 1, 2010, retailers will be able to send in their invoices for reimbursement for rebates given as a result of participation in the REEAP program. We emailed an instruction sheet and a spreadsheet that participating retailers will need to complete and emailed according to the instructions with either an electronic copy of your invoices for water heaters sold, or a hard copy that you will mail or fax in.
